Progress is impossible without change...

They say to progress in life you have to embrace change. Something people in general find difficult. I am definitely no different. It is very easy to stroll though life, settled nicely in your comfort zone. However, to progress as a person we have to embrace change and step bravely into the unknown.

For me this change has come in more ways than one in the last couple of months. The major change being a new coaching team. In March, I joined Trisutto and Team Bella Bayliss; The Ironwoman queen! An exciting new relationship :) There was no-one else I wanted to be as my coach! So this new set up brought my biggest month for swimming and running since last August when I was out in Lanzarote training. I am really excited for the next 5 months leading up to the World 70.3 Championships. I have some big training weeks to come out in Mallorca for the Easter break and Lanzarote for the summer holidays. Although my working days at school can be long, the holidays are amazing and give me the opportunity to live like a pro for 17 weeks of the year!

So the rest of the winter has included alot of indoor training.. a full 4 months if it.. apart from braving a weekend of outdoor training during Beast from the East Part II! January and February kicked off with a 10k race, a couple of half marathons and a sprint duathlon.. no pbs, however.. no illnesses, no injuries and no loss of motivation.. I feel stronger than this time last year and even though my times aren't reflecting this, I know it is important to stay patient, enjoy the process and have faith that eventually the hard work will pay off.

March also bought some exciting news. I am very excited to now be an ambassador for Evo Tri Club, Raceskin and Zone3. I literally have the best team and am so grateful for their support. Not forgetting  the 'Dream Team' cycle group, my amazing parents who barely miss a race and still like to correct my
swimming stroke and my friends who constantly put up with me moan about how tired I am!

So the Easter holidays begin with a weekend of long riding in London, Surrey and out West of the country :) all in the lovely English rain.. before jetting off to Mallorca for Portocolom 111 and some sunny training miles with Ramdog :) Sa Calobra has been on my bucket list for awhile.. now its time to top up the Vit D and also tackle San Salvador twice!

Bring on 2018! #nevergiveup #giveeverythingalways... Remember... Change is scary but not as scary as staying the same forever.
